Twenty-two years making other people’s formulas.
CANSOOTHE is the one we made for ourselves.
Divya International began in 2003 with henna-based hair colours, herbal oils and Ayurvedic personal care. The R&D centre opened in 2006. In 2012 came a technical partnership with a long-established cosmetics manufacturer in Somerset, which is where the habit of formulating to European norms came from. The business now makes products for brands across the UK, France, Italy, China, Singapore, the Gulf and Southeast Asia.
Two decades of contract manufacturing teaches you exactly where corners get cut in this category: in the preservative system, in the pH tolerance, in the distance between the plant named on the front of a pack and the amount actually present. CANSOOTHE exists because we wanted a range with none of those gaps in it.
Why it reads so plainly
Botanical skincare has an honesty problem, and it isn’t solved by listing ingredients — every Ayurvedic proprietary product in India has to do that. It’s solved by formulation control: every formula holds a pH ceiling because the preservative system needs it, is challenge-tested to an ISO method, and carries a European safety file.
Made in India
The facility is GMP certified and sits in a rural area outside the NCR, chosen for shorter transport distances and local employment. It is a female-led business. Sourcing is plant-based and fair-trade minded, and the packaging is chosen on the same terms.
What this is not
These are cosmetics. They cleanse, soothe, hydrate and protect skin that is sensitive or under stress. They are not medicines, they treat nothing, and we will not imply otherwise — not for any condition, and not by association with any specialty. If your skin is getting worse, please see a clinician.
