Standards

Botanical, and checkable.

Every formula is pH-tested, GMP-certified, and documented to EU cosmetic standards. Here’s exactly what that means.

Held below pH 5.3

The preservative system — sodium levulinate, sodium anisate, potassium sorbate — only functions in that window. Every water-based formula is held there, in a GMP-certified facility.

Substantiated before printed

SPF 30 was tested in vivo to ISO 24444. Patch and tolerance testing is held per SKU, which is precisely what “dermatologically tested” is allowed to mean.

Mild enough to continue

Sulphosuccinate and isethionate cleansers instead of SLS, and no harsh acids anywhere. Mildness is what makes a routine survive to month six.

Claim discipline

What we will and won’t say.

The hardest decision in a botanical range is not what to put in. It is what to stop yourself writing.

ParabensReplaced by the mild acid system that dictates the pH ceiling.
Artificial dyesColour comes from the botanicals, or mineral iron oxide in the balms.
Animal testingAt no stage, for any market.
MicrobeadsNo plastic exfoliants anywhere. Four formulas include a small amount of silicone (dimethicone) for texture, named on their own product pages.
BeeswaxCandelilla wax across the current range — the lip balm is the one exception, and it says so on its own page.
